Kill-switch for my insight?

I have been looking around, and I can't really find any tutorials for how to go about doing this... Is it even possible on the insight? I would love to be able to kill my motor when coasting up to light above 19mph...

My car has the VSS signal go through the cluster to the ECU, as such I'm going to make it so that I can switch the VSS to the ECU off when I'm coasting in neutral so that I don't fast idle.

The insights dash is fully electronical. It's ribbon cables and PCB's my first thought was to cut the vss signal to the ECU, so the car would think it's not moving, and activating auto-stop. Not sure if it would work though.

I think they have a FAS mod. Another idea is to intercept the yellow lack injector wires. Once you cut those and you were running, mash the throttle and you got an EV.

Where is this yellow injector wire? It would be perfect for backing out of the driveway/pulling into the driveway having only EV.

Also, I don't want to spend any money on making this, I already got the NC switch and wire for it.

InsightCentral is definitely the best place to research/ask this question. I believe there's a few ways to do it on the Insight.

Yea and the method (easiest) I want to use, the only member who used to never made a DIY on how to do it. He gives a general description but doesn't specify why there wire is that I need to tap into.

Do you happen to know where the power supply wire is that feeds all the injectors with power?

Its a different culture and requires lots of searching to find the instructions. They will refer to a mod for a decade with only 1 thread ever showing the diy. Most gen 1 owners are very intelligent, resourceful and have an engineering, mechanical background.

Peter has recently redone some stuff with what he has learned from the HCH. Most of it I ignore as I own neither vehicle.

Mike DB2K had a mod once to FAS and even sold it at one time. I think the fact you can damage your ima battery making it an ev and taking the charge too low is a reason its kept from newbies.

Thats perfect since the IMA rotor runs on 3 phase dc. The rest of the crap is 12 volts dc. Maybe your bro has experience with car stereos or rv wiring too?
