1994 Honda Civic DX ideas

I could troll hypermiling thread but looking for real word hatchback owners and brainstorming ideas to help my mpg. The car is old and used. 283k D15B7, LRR tires 13x5 175/70/13 steel wheels. Manaul trans, manual steering rack, A/C. 5w-30 oil, Honda MTF. I'm practical with keeping some tools and fluids in the trunk, 13 inch spare, scissor jack. My time of chaning my own tire is more valuabe than calling AAA.

I average between 35 and 43 MPG. Usually passengers in the car. Looking for some mods worth doing on this 5th gen civic. I wanna keep the car as effieciant as possible as it came from the factory. But if my condesor goes on the A/C then i would remove the system. Any input appreciated.

If you want a quick list, here's my recommendation (in this order)
1) practice driving style
100+ Hypermiling / ecodriving tips & tactics for better mpg - EcoModder.com
2) pump up tires to sidewall psi max
2) get mpg instrumentation (mpguino or similar)
3) install a kill switch

Simple aero + engine performance upgrades I got 53 mpg out of my 93 DX HB but also had 50% more engine hp.
