1995 Honda Civic Hatchback VX

Hello everyone.

I was fortunate enough to recently stumble upon a rare gem. A 100% stock 1995 Honda Civic Hatchback VX in great condition. I owned a 1994 Honda Civic Coupe DX for the past 6 years but had it stolen from me while in Seattle this past summer. Having loved the car and wanting to find something similar but with even better gas mileage I began looking at fifth generation hatchbacks (92-95). I didn't know at the time of purchase the exact difference between trim models, CX, VX, DX, and Si. I was lucky to end up with the VX. Little did I know at the time it's true value and how rare it is to find a VX 100% stock in as good as condition as this one is in. A true gem. I like to think of it as reverse karma since my last one was stolen. I have been asking questions on honda forums and often hear people talk about this ecomodder site. I decided to join and say hello!

Hello!

Welcome.

I wish broken bones and chronic backache upon the mouthbreathers who stole your car. That sucks really hard. My dad's beloved ol' Toyota pickup was stolen out of his driveway one year, he was pretty annoyed for a good long while.

On the other hand, kudos on discovering an unmolested VX. That doesn't happen too often. It's kind of the Holy Grail among non-hybrid gas cars for fuel mileage.

Unless you have a receipt on hand that you trust, indicating how old the timing belt is, consider replacing it. I don't reckon you need me to tell you that, but it bears repeating.

Thanks. Yeah so do I. Apparently Seattle is the most common area in the country for vehicle theft. I have installed a few goodies that will make my new car much harder to steal.
