1996 Subaru Impreza OB 2.2 5-Speed

Mods:

No roof rack crossbeams or rails.
No Rear Mudflaps.
Normal "Skeleton" Wipers instead of nasty monobeam wipers.
40PSI in the knobbly winter tires.

Need to do:

Remove the front mudflaps
Seal up panel gaps
Fix the exhaust by replacing it with something less restrictive / leaky
Need new o2 sensors

I'm not new to this... I've been lurking here since forever ago... The Subaru has forced me to join up so I can ask questions and get feedback.

If your O2 sensors are bad, I'd move them to the top of the list (assuming the part of the exhaust system they screw into is still solid!). You probably already know that if they're sending faulty feedback to the computer, the air/fuel mixture could be out of what - potentially richer than need be, wasting fuel.

Got a fuel economy display in the car? That'd be my 2nd mod.

Welcome to the forum!
