2004 HX with 316,000 miles for $900

Supposedly everything is wonderful except for the thermostat which moves erratically. I would ask on reddit, but I am permanently banned for asking if anyone knew of any good parts sales.

Curiously, it has manual windows, and the upholstery is coming off the doors like on my first Accord.

I never fixed that. I hit an elk first.

That price sounds reasonable if the AC works and the tires are good.

That seems high, but KBB says that is what it is worth--if it is in Excellent condition.

The seller says that it is 9/10 inside and out and needs a window regulator. I am unsure that qualifies as Excellent condition, but the car is 22 years old!

I checked Facebook, Craigslist, and OfferUp on Friday, but he posted it on Saturday, when I was writing progress reports.

I don't have any idea how to get a car from Tucson to Phoenix without driving a ridiculous amount.

I found it on Facebook, but the pictures aren't great, but they look like they were originally posted to OfferUp, so I found it there, and they were a bit bigger, but most of them were still taken in landscape, posted in portrait, and were mostly blackspace.

1996 HX owned by a meth head west of Phoenix! :D

It is 3 years older and has another 159,000 miles--almost double! It has an aftermarket intake and a racing steering wheel.

It has steel wheels!

The seller suggests that it is a race build. Is that due to the two aforementioned modifications or the aftermarket shift knob?

What kind of race build has steel wheels?!

This Civic looks worse than mine!

How many drugs did he do to think $2,900 was a good starting place?!

All of them?!

Abandon hope all ye who click here!

2001 HX in Santa Fe for $2,650

It looks pretty nice. It says automatic, but that is definitely a manual shifter: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...0018240632119/

The catalytic converter is bad, but it will come with a replacement, although he would charge extra to remove the several screws to install it himself. It looks like all Civics of that generation use the same style unit, with an integrated exhaust manifold like mine. RockAuto shows prices varying between $140 and well over $600.

I am guessing this is one of the cheap ones.

The meth head brought down his 1996 HX $650. The ad now says that the engine has 176,000 miles and needs TLC. I asked what engine they swapped in and what TLC it needs.

He just said his car needs a distributor cap and will soon need a timing belt.

People really like to sell their cars before major maintenance!
