I have a trunk full of cardboard from modding plus a wheel skirt in the back of my car. Thank goodness cardboard is light!
Any further results from the extension?

Yikes! What all are you going to have to replace?

About the extension, I hadn’t yet gotten a chance to load test it at 55mph, however, my coasting points occur later and I’m holding a little more speed into certain corners so I assume it’s helping... just don’t have an instant MPG reading at 55...
And I gotta replace a fender and header panel... have a fender on my parts car that needs paint(that I have) and the header panel is like $15 on rock auto...

Sounds promising. I just might have to try it out myself too!

That's all and the insurance valued the damage at $920??

I like your thread, but you gotta stop taking photos in portrait (upright) with your phone. Take 'em landscape (sideways) so they aren't auto-rotated wrong on the forum (and because you generally want more width in a photo than height).

Point noted, I’ll try and remember landscape...

Well ya got to consider they’re getting those numbers based on what a body shop would charge. They billed $4xx for labor alone, 3xx for parts replacement, and almost $200 for paintwork... they usually blend the paint up onto the hood and door to make the car look as close as possible to new because even the best paint mix doesn’t 100.0% match what’s on the car

True, but still. Since you're replacing the fender how about just modify the bumper to perfect its aerodynamics?

I wanna eventually swap to either the 05-07 sedan bumper or the coupe(Redline) front clip... either of those would be a little better than my current front clip but neither of them will be massively better... it’s a lot of work for not so much gain...

True, but you might be able to fab something up with foam and other materials.

I’m far less worried about the shape of the front bumper than I am about the shape of the rear, and getting diffuser built and rear wheel skirts...
However as I’m putting the car back together I’m gonna probably try and seal off the gaps in the panels on the front, just for sake of being like basjoos...

Unrelated to aerodynamics, I do have to do a different repair on my car as well... right now I can’t get a set of front tires to last over 5k miles... that would be okay if it were making 800+whp but it’s not... it’s been noisy over bumps and rough roads.. pretty sure I need to do a set of control arms on her... maybe with that fixed it’ll coast even better?
I did set a record for my trip to work... at 70-73* I averaged 58.2mpg indicated by UG
