200 hp Insight?-K-Sight!

Old news but a goodie.
Supposedly still getting high 40'-50's mpgs. An opposite take on modding of a Honda Insight. LHT Performance getting its concept build for NOPI Nationals. Still waiting for actual mileage numbers as they will drive it to Atlanta. The slippery shape should offer still great efficiency and performance capabilities for the kind of motor & transmission implant. Someone call them and share hypermiling techniques instead of stoplight-drag starts it might elicit from their drivers.

K20a INSIGHT by LHT - Tampa Racing

Some say, with this kind of extra power people will begin to accept the aero aesthetic. And greenies won't hate you either.

I read about this one. Interesting, but it worries me at the same time.
I worry that suddenly, you are going to have lots of these car being stolen - not by evironmentalist, but by those that want to bolt in smoggy race motors into the cars because of their lightness.
I see this a lot with Civic VXs. It's hard to find one that hasn't been modified in some way.
While 48 MPG may seem environmentally friendly, vehicles can still be major polluters yet still get great gas mileage. ( An example being scooters )
Here is yet another Insight drag car. This one is not street legal ( obviously ).
Note the full grille block and extended deck lid. ( Also note how that the deck lid extends outwards versus the traditional spoiler that slants upwards for more downforce.
( This is similar to the stock CRX - the curve of the back end ended in an almost horizontal decklid .) But that is all off topic .........
