Here's a good one. My rockauto total came out to $78. Or you can use pay later for $30 today plus 4 payments of about $15, for a total of approximately $90. Hard pass on that.

I have done 3 fill ups.
18mpg on 60% highway driving the speed limit.
16mpg driving around town.
16.5mpg mostly driving around town with some highway.
I pull a spark plug too see what they looked like.
Well they were the wrong ones, about one heat range too hot, champion 7318, I'll put the correct ones in. Either double platinum or iridiums.
Also thinking about upgrading injectors, the engine came with single hole EV1 22lb/hr injectors.
There are 4 hole upgrade injectors, also 22lb/hr Bosch #0280155784.
Replacing old EV1 injectors with new 4 hole injectors is good way to get +1mpg.

Are those 4 holes smaller enough to improve the spray pattern? Not only it may lead to increased efficiency, but maybe performance too.

That's what it seems like. Swapping old and worn single hole EV1 to 4 hole EV1 upgrade or EV6 injector swap is very popular.

yes, and the 4 hole injectors really worked well with my heater-core based intake air heater. In my 4.7L Dakota Quad Cab, with both 4-hole injectors and that heater, I could get fuel economy approaching 21 MPG on the highway, around 70 MPH, with just a chin spoiler as an aero mod. In-town economy was around 17 MPG, IIRC.

After changing plugs I have an excuse to upgrade injectors. One of the middle even side cylinders is definitely running richer than the others.

Depending on how much richer, I'd be quite concerned about long-term damage to the cylinder head.

The plugs looked pretty normal but one appeared richer than others.

The Dakota battery has been showing it's age.
I got a free group 31 battery that cranks out 900 amps so it's pretty good. Looked like it would fit, but it didn't fit. I fired up the Dremel and made it fit.
The hold down bolts aren't long enough to reach but fixable with thread rod.
Can't argue with free 99.
