2004 Chevy Silverado 4x4 z
Finally over 20 mpg and repeatable. Installed my aerocap and 8 fillups later every tank over 20. Actual range has been 20.3 to 20.8. Hopefully the pictures will fill in some of the gaps and ready for questions. I don't do a fuel log, simply hand figure every tank. We started at 16.5 mpg. Also depend on my scangauge to monitor my driving. No fancy driving, just pay attention, drive a little slower and still use my a/c on hot days. 23 miles to work, on rural and improved 2 lane highway, never over 60 mph. More changes to come in the future.
Just need assistance w/ posting pics on the thread.

You can use a photosharing website like photobucket. It's free to join.
Then you upload pics to photobucket and once uploaded you click on the IMAGE code next to the actual picture. That will copy the image code address and all you have to do is ctrl + V to paste that code in the body of any message you post here.
You can upload pics direct to this site but using an external photo sharing site is easier in my opinion especially if you frequent different forums.

I still don't get it. Have pictures in my profile, but can't figure out how to post any of them with a thread. Can you guide me thru this?

If you have pictures in something like photobucket, somewhere beside or below the picture you will see the IMG code. You should be able to copy and paste that here, and the picture will automatically embed itself.

To post pictures, just put the IMG tags (without the x) around the picture's address/URL.

I can't give specific instructions on getting the picture's URL unless you're using a Mac.
From your album here:

Great job with the aerocap, I've seen it around here. Give the fuel log a try. It's fun and gives you a neat little graph. If you have the data from your tanks, you can just add it all at once.

Your front air dam should never be lower that your lowest part of your under carriage.
That creates excessive drag and higher frontal area with out any gain.

AFAIK this is the first full-size V8 4x4 to average over 20 mpg.

Thanks for the encouraging words. Slowmover, if you can access my album you will see more pictures of the truck. It has been fun and educational to try and build something functional and try to maintain the looks of the truck. I am still trying to get the hang of posting pictures, a problem for the computer illiterate like me. Thanks to everyone for pointing me in the right direction on this, just need a 10 year old to walk me thru it the first time. To Taco, my air dam is about 3 inches lower than need be, but I like the look and figure those nascar guys must have some reason for those huge spoilers. In my mind slippery for speed might also work for slippery for mileage. I can always shorten it if necessary. More changes are planned for the future.
