I wouldn't pay $4k for it. Its going to need some work and that means parts and your or someone else's time. For $4k you can get a fairly reliable car that needs zero work and will last you a good amount of time.
I've seen Insight prices all over the map. There is currently someone selling one locally for $4k and it has 200k miles on it. However, I got mine with 135k miles on it for $2300. But, I had to wait a long time for a deal like that to come around.
Just go for a drive and get this one instead: 2000 HONDA INSIGHT

Maybe you can get it knocked down to $2500, but this one looks to be kinda okay. IMA will probably be in the same condition as the one you're already looking at.
ya so i went up there and talked to them , they would only go down to 4100$ even after expressing my concerns, however it may be a different story cash in hand, did not tell them what i would give them for it, but now i know where they stand
