Changed tires/wheels like you and had similar results. Really liked how it smoothed out the ride. Have a set of airtab vortex generators on order and I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of different they make once installed on my Mini.

The ones on the C pillars go leading edge down at 15 degrees 100mm in front of the separation layer. Which puts it at the edge of the black on the window.

I don't think she would go for the mods but I'm enjoying what you guys came up with, interesting! & yes it would have to be an earlier one w/ the pano view & an S because of the 6sp. The Midland 5sp has troubles, not very stout from what I've read.

I've read that some guys get as high as 44 mpg in stock form has to be Hyway, any truth to that?

Thanks,
Dave
Dave, I have a 2009 Mini Cooper S JCW model. It gives me the best of both worlds. I can easily get 46-48 mpg on a steady 55 mph highway jaunt. I typically average 45mpg+ per tank since 90% of my driving is interstate. When my "Mr. Hyde" gets the better of me I can occasionally blast down an on-ramp because it has 220 hp in a 2750 lb. car and I can STILL net that 45 mpg figure per tank. Really enjoying this website and all the great ideas.

If you guys want to really heat up the air put a piece of aluminum foil over your intercooler on the s models. You should check the specs on the diesel Countryman all wheel drive

That would be a great choice here in the States. I've had several diesels in the past and would love to get my hands on a diesel Mini!

Righto. I figure that slight "wave" in the plastic was there for an aerodynamic reason. Anxious to see if the airtabs help keep the back window cleaner. Typical Mini fights a losing battle against dust and road grim accumulating on the rear window and hatchback/bumper. We'll see soon if they help with that.
