So these pics aren't the greatest because they were taken on my phone camera and it was dark out...but it will give you an idea of what it takes for me to use my EBH at work. Well worth it though...

Pics are of:

1. The hallway where I plug into inside the building on the second floor
2. The window I drop the cord out of on the second floor
3. An exterior shot of building with the extension cord coming down the wall (which has a big tangle in it but it's 20 degrees and I'm not about to untangle it in this weather)
4. The car finally plugged in

Again...sorry for the quality of the pics!

Amen to the full upper/lower grill block!

For the past couple months I've been running a full upper/lower foam pipe insulation grill block and in current 20-30 degree temps (and sometimes lower) my engine temps are in the 185-195 degree range after about 6 miles without using my EBH...which are the same temps I see in the summer months without the grill block (but within 3 miles in the warmer temps). Since my commute home is 11 miles the last 3-4 miles of my drive I make up alot of the mpg I lose on the first half of the commute.

Current Stats (average of 3 drives home the last 3 days):
First 7 miles home: 44 mpg
Last 4 miles home: 62 mpg

When using my EBH I'm in the 185-195 degree range after about 5 miles in 20-30 degree weather. It seems once the heat is generated by the ICE it stays in the engine area pretty well with the grill block installed.

Nice pics! Love the rats nest in the cord halfway down the wall.

But I hear you: when it's cold out, good enough is good enough.
