I recently got a '95 Tercel. My best 2010 tank with it was 40 mpg. For 2011, my goal is to have at least one 50 mpg tank. EPA ratings for comparison are 26/35/29 combined.

My goal for 2010 was to buy another manual transmission car and toss the big Town and Country van. I wanted a 50 mpg car in the fold to drive to work. Now I have it so I will be looking to average 50 mpg combined for 2011. Next year I might try getting a diesel car or truck and switch to WVO or a mixture of that and diesel.

My goal at the beginning of 2010 was to beat the Transport Canada estimates for my car (21/31 T.C. vs. 19/26 new EPA) and beat last years avg. of 26.2mpg with 34%C/66%H. By last fall, I raised my goal to 28mpg but winter and nothing but short trips killed that one. Still managed 27.7mpg for the year with 46%C/54%H. I'd still like to get to that 28mpg for 2011. I share the car with a non-hypermiler, though, so we'll see.

2011 goals for me are to do the improvements on my truck Efan lose some weight and better driving habits but my main goal is to use it less. in 2010 I drove close to 6,000 miles and drove our backup car that manages 24-28mpg nearly double what the truck gets for the other 3,000 miles.

I would like to get the truck use down to 3500 miles and put the rest on the backup car and motorcycle which gets 50+mpg.

For 2010 my goal was 50mpg lie time average, I got into the 49.** range but then winter arived.
For 2011 I will be as green as can be and recycle last years ambition.
I also plane to aero mod my 1989 ford aerostar van with a boat tail, under tray, rounded front end, etc... nothing quit like biting off more than you can chew?

I got a very late start, only finding the site in August/September of this year and previously not paying much attention to my MPG. 2005-mid-2010 my best tank ever was 34.3mpg, my average was 27 winter, 29-30 summer, with several tanks under 26.0mpg.

Since September I've managed steady improvement even as winter came on. My last three tanks have all been 41mpg or better and while the colder weather is likely to bring it down to 38-39mpg in January and February, that's still 10% better than my best tank ever over the previous 5 years and almost 50% better than the same time last year.

My ultimate goal is still a sub-one gallon commute. Given that my round trip commute is 52.9 miles, I just don't think it's going to happen with the Acura, so I continue to look at other options. In the meantime, my goal is to have a 40+mpg 2011 average with a summer average in the mid-40s. Summertime is roadtrip season and if there's one thing I've discovered in the last month, it's that my car loves the highway. I'd like to say 50mpg was a goal, but it's more like a dream. While I get 400+ mpg on my first eight miles every day, sooner or later I have to go back up that hill.

Thanks to everyone who's helped me see the light and boost my mpg into the rhealm of the impossible. May tailwinds carry you where ever you travel.

Car is rated 24/31. My pre-hypermiling record economy in 2010 was 31/39. Typical was around 29/35. Since I started hypermiling in November 2010, I have averaged 31.78mpg average and only two sub-30mpg tanks; winter, city driving and all. Just got a 34mpg highway tank too. For 2011, I would like to get a 35mpg city tank and a 40mpg highway tank. If I make those, then I shoot for bringing my 90-day average up to 35mpg.

Since Fr3AkAzOiD posted the 2012 resolutions thread, I though I would ask how people who posted here did.

My goal is to get over 30 MPG every tank! I'm hoping for 32+ from now on but I've only been hypermiling for a short time and want to set the bar at a tangible change!
