It's just something small, but today I took off the passenger side wiper and hit the window with some Rain-X. Heavy rains are so rare here in NM, it shouldn't be an issue. You guys might see my mileage drop in the coming months b/c my commute is mostly city now, but don't be fooled-- I'll be ready to push 50 mpg for my next road trip.

The next mod, I think, will be Cruze Eco wheels and LRR tires. That'll happen around June, perhaps. Then I'm looking at a lithium starter battery. Yes, it's expensive, but I really want to get the weight down. This car is sooo slow. (12s 0-60) So that's where I'll start unless anybody has better ideas about how to put it on a diet.

Good luck with your mods.

I have an ECO *wife does* if you need me to go look at or measure things to help you do the mods.

Just PM me if so.

BTW she gets a steady 33mpg with it and she does zero highway driving and drives with absolute zero concern for MPG's.

It's the 6MT

The first mod I did to her car was eliminate the 12? gallon restriction. It can now hold over 15 gallons. So much nicer.

Love my Cruze Eco! My best tank is 51.2 mpg, but I have yet to have an all highway tank. Only mods are lowered with eibach springs, bilstein shocks, open cone intake, upped air pressure to 44psi.

Very nice. I'm certain if I were the primary driver in our Cruze it would get MUCH better mileage. The wife could care less.

Closing off the vents will reduce intercooler efficiencies.
Probably nothing to worry about under 90F temperatures, but a very bad idea above 95F, as the heat already robs a ton of power.
