Nice photo!
Next time you compete with a number tag, get permission to trim it so it fits on a flat surface.

Or use a ridiculous amount of tape on all of the edges!

C. M. Lewis did 94 mpg combined in his Insight. It looks like I will have to get my numbers higher for next year.

Most of the Prius' look a little low. I wonder if Bob though to report their performance based on the onboard computer or if these are tank fill numbers. They are fuel bladder cars and can't be accurately filled and refilled.

GGP has been using OEM built in on board FE computers for vehicles that have them.
Last year I convinced them to let me use my MPGuino; it's probably more accurate than what's in a Prius or similar.

Scott,
GGP was weighing cars again to determine fuel used?
Any improvement over the previous year? Scales still reading out in whole pounds giving limited accuracy?

No. All of the cars went by observed fuel fills at 7:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 5:00. I don't know what they did with the custom plug ins.

Translogic video on GGP '13
Not sure if this has been posted yet:
I stumbled on a nicely done video about GGP '13, including:
- interview with Bob Gillespie
- interview & drive in the heavily ecomodded Alfred State Insight (red one)
(The suspension mods -- for lowering -- make it look like quite a punishing ride!)
There are some shots of the other competitors... including a motorbike (not sure if that was you, sendler).
Can't embed this one, so go here:
