I heard some horror stories about the late 90s vans with the 3.8 and the four-speed auto. IIRC the problem wasn't the engine so much, but the trannies tend to be trouble prone.

Breaking 25 is pretty good; I had a '92 with the 2.6 four-cyl, 25 is as good as it ever did.

Then it ate its own brain, that's a horror story for a different day.

28.54 on this latest tank and most were highway miles; I drove over 340 miles this Friday! I set the tire pressure at 55 hot on Thursday.

I believe over 35 in this van is achievable. Diesel Dave achieved 50+ in his truck.

24.66 on this latest fill up, Though it was at a different gas station it was still a GETGO. I have a partial grille block on the van now so that helped over the last 13 days.
