28% with no mods

28% above revised EPA highway. averaging 65mph for an entire tank of gas in a Chevy s-10 4x4 v6. Driving from Erie to Columbus and back halfway I managed 24.5 mpg. The only mods are my right foot and a scan-gauge II. even better is that at one point I was getting 28.2mpg after the fill-up where I got 28% for the tank while the air was warm but as I drove farther north and the sun went down the average dropped to 27.2 according to the scan-gauge. Testing errors could include my speed-o being off by 4% (I need to get that re-calibrated, confirmed this with gps) and the scangauge not being calibrated but every time I fill up it is off by up to +-4% percent concerning the amount of fuel I used. Grrr I need more accurate measurement methods.

I Would check your FE by hand for a few tanks and see how your highway numbers look. If you are consistently 28% over EPA, then that is pretty good.
