Perhaps, in 1955 but now unlikely.

maybe, although thats not a factor in this Diesel Golf..

getting the brakes warm requires momentum- something the engine is not overly keen to provide!

anyways, back on topic...

this morning, I'm at 300 miles for an indicated 3/8ths of a tank- thats 30 miles more than previous for that mark..

If i can make it to 400 at 1/2 tank indicated, we may be onto something

Disaster!

Heading to work today, notice plumes of steam out from the front of the car..

then the coolant level light starts flashing..

Radiator is leaking

new one is circa £50, but the tax is due at the end of the month.. thats £170

man maths time methinks, as I'd much rather spend it on a car I want to drive

I'm sorry to hear that. You can use that temporary solution of radiator sealant if you don't want to spend too much money on your Golf. It's not the best solution in a long term but sometimes it is enough.

Yeqah I'm aware of such stuff- reckon thats whats been in it before..

may be worth slinging in another bottle.

Tonight we find out if its worth insuring for another year- the renewal we got through was more than the 328i!

on another note, I made the mistake of taking the 328i to work today- I'd forgotten all about "throttle response" and acceleeration...

so much so, I'm of a mind to get a smaller engined petrol car and LPG it for a commuter..

and I have the 320i not needing too much work to recomission..

hmm
