36.4 mpg in tacoma 4x4

So today I fueled up and on the way home I was able to P&G between 40-60mph and i got an average of 36.4 mpg per scangauge over about 12 miles the truck was warm the whole time the only mods are electric fan and small side mirrors. so hopefully by the time I get done with the truck I will be able to achieve an average of 40 mpg all the time!

PS the truck: 1996 toyota tacoma 2.7L 5 speed 4x4 also has topper the truck was in 2 wheel drive with the hubs spinning freely, any questions just ask!

EDIT: as of now I am getting 35-36 mpg ave without P&G if I P&G im getting more towards 40 mpg

That is some mighty impressive mileage for any truck...much less a 4x4. What were the roads like? Mostly downhill, mix of ups and downs, or flat? I have a 2wd s10, and I am rarely able to get that kind of mileage unless I am in a hilly environment or with a tailwind.

Very impressive!

yeah but yours is a 6 cyl so 30 would be impressive!!

the last tank when i was driving i got an average of around 26 when i was driving normally. so i would have an increase of 38% just from P&G-ing!!!

My Festiva doesn't have one and I eoc during 97% of my glides. You just have to be careful with some vehicles as they will lock the steering will if you don't immediately return the key to the "on" position after turning the car off. After the key is back in the on position you can can safely coast till you want to restart.
