Haha, thanks. It keeps it simple to install.
This afternoon I wired the voltmeter up. It is a little on the bright side, but we'll see how it during the day and night.

I installed basically the same voltmeter last year maybe, green and bright. It was too bright at night. I took old sunglasses that I found in the street and cut a filter for it. Much better now. Btw, the whole assembly looks really good though.

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.

After driving with it for a week now I can definitely agree that its way too bright. Its gotta light up the cabin at night haha. I asked the maker of it if it could be dimmed. Not sure exactly what I'll do yet, but a tint/film is a definite possibility.

i actually considered moving mine into a position where it could serve as nighttime always on dashlight that doubled as a voltmeter. bright!

i have a red volt meter mounted in a spare slot on the dash. it's not that bright. could yours be the color spectrum that's annoying?
