Thumbs up 40 mpg on winter formula gas.

A couple of days ago I took a road trip in my Ford EXP. I just wanted to get out of town and enjoy some winding back roads. During the trip I was able to average 40 mpg on winter gas. That is only 1.5 mpg less than I got last summer on a similar excursion.

The difference may be partially due to my belly pan. It was not installed then. I didn't drive it any less hard than I had then and used similar tactics during the Interstate portion. It will be interesting to see what will happen once we switch back to the summer blend.
