The short sentence about air conditioning disappeared into the traction battery and registration drama for me. My biggest concern if I stayed up here would be the defroster.
I always want to fix things, but air conditioning is big enough that it might just go on my wish list.
What would chrome wrap do for a leaky roof?
When it does rain here it usually rains hard.

IIRC you have to remove the trim pieces above the doors (and buy replacement clips) and then use silicon to seal up the area.
Any clarification from the seller about the VIN yet?
EDIT: I decoded the check digit based off of this link and it is indeed supposed to be 1. So the correct VIN# for this car is JHMZE1371YT000007. Carfax indicates no available records for this VIN#.

"The last 4 digits of the vin are 2647, not 0007. Everything else is correct. I couldnt get the Craigslist posting to take the vin or mileage numbers so I kept making up random numbers until it allowed the listing to post."
Edit: That means the VIN should be JHMZE1373YT002647, which seems valid. My.CarFax.com and VehicleHistory.com have a good amount of information on it.

If you are looking for an Insight in AZ, see if any of the ADESA or Manheim auctions there have public auctions. In some states they do. These cars sell for nothing at auctions, people don't know what they are and want nothing to do with them. Usually the dealer selling it just wants it off his lot if it gets traded in. I saw one here sell for $700 running and driving once. The auctioneer literally made fun of it when it went across the auction block. Take advantage of their ignorance haha.

That Insight ad is still up and it still says "$1,600 firm."

$1600 firm...where firm means that he firmly rejects all offers because he firmly doesn't want to sell his dark green Insight.
