Turtle --- 600 Mile Club!!! ---

Actually, 650 miles on this tank! (18 Gallons)

And the scangauge said there was a whole gallon and a half left (70 more miles) so I could have easily gone to the 700 miles club But I did not want to push it anymore.

The whole tank was around 40mpg, all highway, while I just reached a best of 42mpg coming down... !!!!

--------------------------------------------
This was a round trip from San Antonio to Dallas to Fort Worth. I also did about 40 miles in fort worth because i had to go to the dentist. PROVING I can go and come back in one GAS TANK!!! WOW!!!
--------------------------------------------

Thanks to everybody here!!! And with my side mirror removal, and upper grill block I plan to reach 45mpg...

REMEMBER IM ON WINTER GAS AND ITS COLD OUTSIDE

Wow, I thought that I would use you to compare my numbers to. Well if this is the case, i will have to step my game up a lot. The most I've seen is 500 MPT on my 20 gallon tank. I believe I had a little over a three gallons left.

Great job. Scratch that, excellent job. 42 MPG for a mid size family sedan is remarkable.

Looks like you have some great mods lined up and done so far.

What did you notice as a difference for the grounding kit? What is the "vortekz" that you have?

YES!!! Someone I CAN compare myself to hahaha (there are NO mazda 6 owners that actually post here )

I did the grounding kit to get better response from the throttle (It is drive by wire, and I grounded the throttle so it DOES get much better response)... Other than that, I have no idea...

Here is testing I made on the Vortekz Generators;
--- "vortekz" Generators Tested!! --- Pictures!! - GasSavers.org - Helping You Save at the Pump

There is ongoing debate as to weather they work or not, but I swear by them (just look at my numbers).

Anyway, I will be removing the mirrors, lowering it, getting new tires and rims, adding full upper grill block, and finish ALL underbody paneling. After this my goal is AT LEAST 50mpg.

How does that sound

After that, I will be modding the engine and hopefully hit 70-80mpg. People think I am crazy and it would never be possible, but trust me, it will.

Congrats basslover. I eagerly await your progress in getting to 80mpg. I figure no matter what mpg you get, you're never happy with it. I'm the same; i could get 200mpg tomorrow and would be trying for 250 next week!! I wish you the best of luck!

Haha, yes, cold is relative. I don't know how cold it gets in Texas but I just work up to snow this morning. And good job too by the way.

Did you notice a difference with your Vortekz generator??

Great job about your improvement.

I have a relatively small temperature decrease, no sub 0°C yet, but I feel it strongly.

Keep us informed about your future car and tank improvements please

Denis.

I put the Vortex generators at the first tank that I had the car, and all the following mods were done within the first 3 or 4 tanks so I could never get a baseline... who needs one anyway when I am getting this milage right?!

groar

For sure, I will be posting later this week my mirror removal and some updated pictures. The point of my car is that I want for other people (non hypermillers) to look at a car and see that it looks awesome while having amazing fuel economy. Most people just look at fuel economy as tiny 10 year old metros and I plan on changing that.
