The heads will bolt right on. There may be a few hiccups with the EGR system, but it's a bolt-on swap.
I'm not sure but I assume, as long as you retain your emissions equipment you'd still be smog legal.

Well if I can't find the proper rear end, I'll just buy the conversion kit + 3.73 gears. It's gonna cost a lot more but at least all the parts will be brand new.

Well, I converted my HX gears to VX gears so I went from the stock 3.73's to 3.23 gearing, but if you want more performance you can swap in a EX transmission which is 4.10, but you will be turning 3,000rpm at 55mph in 5th gear.

Ok I can't find this anywhere so I'm asking, what year doors are cross compatible with mine? I got a guy that lives 2 blocks away that's selling a set of 83 (or 84) doors that are in absolute perfect condition. I want to buy them but don't want to run into any problems. From what my research has told me, it looks like it's just a direct bolt on. I can't find any threads anywhere pertaining to this.

They will bolt on, the hinges are in the same positions, but I'm not sure about the subtle body lines matching. I know there were some slight cosmetic changes between the 80's and 90's Foxes.

Dang because he is only asking 60 bucks for the doors too... They were pulled off a drag car when they put carbon fiber doors on it, so they have never seen the street. Extremely clean doors.

I put '86 doors on a '91 I used to own, to switch from p/w and p/l to manual but at the time I didn't care about the outward appearance. I had intended to use the car for group 5 Rallycross.

I don't give a rats ass personally about outward appearance either. I just don't want leaky/drafty doors is all. Remember I'm going for an ultimate sleeper here.

I would assume they would seal. Any pics of your car?
I'm getting all nostalgic for my old Fox. ![Smile](/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
