95 honda civic rattling and car shakes/shuts off

I was wondering if someone could help me diagnose my civic, it recently started dying out on me after a few blocks. The car shakes more when I'm at a stop after having been driving for a bit. Then it sounds like the engine is struggling to run, then it slows and shut off. I can hear rattling coming from the engine but have no idea what it might be. Also, theres a leak that I believe is coming from the a bad o ring in the distributor if that helps?....any help would be greatly appreciated, I can send a link to a vid I took of the sound if need be

It could be a bad MAP sensor, or the ignition coil failing when the car gets good and warmed up, or something else. Got a check engine light and can you pull the trouble code?

I don't gamble. But if it were the fuel pump, what is causing the rattle under the hood? You need to start testing instead of guessing. Have you got a scan tool? Check for pending trouble codes. If you have a factory service manual, you can start using the trouble shooting sections. Question: how long have you had this car?

Well, if you have a bad O ring, I would start there. Does it only rattle when you are driving?
