97 civic HX 5 speed

97 silver hx with 114k stock. Aluminum rims (factory ones) new exhaust, no trunk leak or musty smells like some have, power windows/locks. Ice cold AC. Tires have good tread. New axles last year. Timing belt and water pump done at 98k. The Good spark plugs, whatever you guys told me to get on here.
It's a 97 so small dents and scratches are there. No rust at all. All body panels match. Also clear coat starting to fade on trunk. With 10psi over max in tires and easy on the peddle I see about low 40s mpg around town and highway I'm around 50mpg.
$5000 obo. Don't bash not sure what to ask...

Car is located in Narragansett,RI.

To be honest, you are asking a very reasonable price. The problem is the market right now. Nobody had money to spend... Myself included, I would love to pick up a clean HX. But I digress.

Sounds like a great, clean car. I'm not personally in the market, but the price seems really good. I see 4 listings in the 02882 zip code on cargurus.com. The closest matches are a 1997 LX with 157,000 miles for $2995 and a 2000 LX with 165,000 miles for $2495. Neither of them get the fuel economy yours gets, neither is in better condition, neither has the sweet-looking HX alloy rims you have, and both are significantly higher mileage.

I hope someone snaps up your car. $3000 is a totally fair, nice price.

Post some pics on the original post in this thread and anywhere else you are posting up... it could help. People like to see it.

It's going to be tough to get big money on fuel efficient cars right now. Gas is dirt cheap and will likely be for a very long time since drilling has expanded and costs to pull it out of the ground has dropped significantly. This is why the US is practically no longer dependent on foreign oil.
