Flexcaps for steelies

I would very much be interested in the Flexcaps for steel wheels, if available in 15" size.

Less drag = Less fuel | Aluminium wheel hubcaps | Eco Tuning --> Tuneko Ltd

Kit would include 4 round PC discs (tinted or clear) and 20 pcs of ziptie plugs and zipties. I can also heat them to little bit convex if you need them like that, so it can be done. Those ERA wheels are 10mm "convex".

Price varies little bit on wheelcover size but it will be between 150-200€ shipped to states. ( just Shipping will cost about 50$)

FleXcaps are not possible to manufacture to most steel wheels because the u-groove on the outer edge is not deep enough. Proper depth is 5-6mm. For steel wheels those round wheel covers can be manufactured from 3mm black ABS to drop the prices down. and similar ziptie plugs can be used for attachement...

I will investigate how much it would cost to send 20 pcs of ziptie plugs and zipties to states. Basicly you can mill that kind of aluminium caps there if you know anyone who has a lathe in his possession...

Thank you. I can source 3mm ABS locally and need only your clever zip tie plugs and ties.

To help you cost out shipping, my Postal Code in Canada is V1Y 9T1

Kind regards,
Bil

Saw this electric brabus smart van RWE, on the Essen Motorshow in 2009.
The torx bolts were extended from the center from the rim to the lexan plaat.
Looked really need, had to look twice before I noticed it.

Clear Lexan would become dirty from brake dust almost immediately with the smart's front disc brakes. Even those yellow wheels will need cleaning every 100km to stay nice-looking.

Its electric, so it will use the electromotor as a regenerative brake, most of the time.
So it will keep cleaner for a longer period then a normal car with dusty discbrakes.

Hmm, ive seen brake dust shields that are put on before the rim. Those would definitely protect the back side of what ever clear material is used.

I the back side of the rim was covered in plastic then the rims would stay cleaner a if you have waxed rims they stay much cleaner.
