Turtle Addition of low profile rear spolier- Toyota Corolla

Hello wise-ones. A question for you. If I add a low profile rear spoiler to my Corolla, will my MPG take a hit? See below

I definitely can't say for sure, but I'll say "prolly or mehbe but you'll prolly never notice either way" or something to that effect. It all depends on the airflow back there, so I'll let one of the aero gurus jump in.

If the flow is currently attached at the trailing edge of the deck lid without the spoiler, then adding one will reduce MPG by a small amount (because you'll be increasing the size of the trailing wake).

I suspect flow IS attached there on your Corolla.

The way to tell for sure is to tuft test: http://forum.ecomodder.com/showthread.php?t=661
