I think the hardest part of the idea of adding anything would be how to secure it to the body of the car. I don't think everybody would be comfortable with drilling holes and using rivets...?

now i know what binder clips are.
there are a couple of styles, maybe more, avail for the MK4 Jetta:

Jedi, when I first looked at your picture, it looked like your fiberglass was sticking out two inches from the edge! That did not make any sense to me!

those lips now come as standard on most coupes. see audi a5 a7, bmw x6, and some merc coupes all have a slight raised ridge before the window

i was planning on using double sided tape. however the bigger the more strength is needed i still want my car to look mainly stock
