Forget the easy way, let's do it the HARD way!
Btw...my version is unfinished, so i dont know if it will help or hurt mpg. I just wanted to find something to do with the leftover fiberglass/bondo i had lying around

I like it for a prototype, Jedi, but after all the bright blue tape on my Saturn, the GF is kind of "over" riding in a car covered in tape. I have thought about cutting a slot in the bumper where a strip of coroplast can just be inserted and basically press fit in. Of course, tape on the inside of the bumper would ensure it stayed in properly.

Floor cord covers
I was thinking these, but cut in half, stuck on w/ 3m molding tape. Looking around a bit I saw some as thick as 15/16". Don't know how well they would stand up to sun and weather though

my plan is also to use moulding tape or i think here we call it double sided tape. small slits in those clips will make it bend somewhat over curved areas. i am trying to find bigger clips these are only for A4 paper but i have seen A1 drawings clipped together. they were about twice the size than these.
also they are plastic and easy to modify u can easily cut one in half if you need less of a 'ramp' effect. best part is they cost 11 cents each converted to your currency!

flap
addSome 'angles' at the back of cars can produce what Hucho calls 'bi-stable flow',where the separation line will dance around.
A 'flap' can trigger positive separation (Chrysler calls it 'burst'),fixing a constant coefficient of drag.
I suspect that during development work within the new aero-acoustic wind tunnels, that they were picking up cyclic 'booming' behind the original stylists design, and the flap is a cheap fix for bad aerodynamic design.
Kamm/Fachsenfeld studied these flaps in the late 1930s.
What's old is new again!
Here is the 1930s 'flap'

I wonder if that wil be a good idea to see just how much these 'flaps' will work? to do just one side of a car and see if you can pic up any difference in the cars handling or if it is pulling to a side?

Probably not enough to notice handling differences but tuft testing might show a difference and you might possibly notice more dirt collecting on the side with the treatment due to less air turbulence not blowing dirt off.
