Tandem seating? Rear engine? Rear cargo? Be mindful of the weight and balance; trikes are especially sensitive to that for safe handling.

Couldent agree more! This will be my 5th trike, and I have learned that lesson the hard way.

Ive done lots of measuring parts, and drawing from past trikes, this one looks like 66/33 solo, 60/40 tandem, there will be 3 luggage nooks, 2 on either side of the cabin down low (near cg) and one in the rear above the wheel and engine.

I think that at 60/40 it may have oversteering tendencies. For example, if it weighs 1000 lbs, the front would have 600 and the back would have 400 but if we look at each tire, the fronts each have 300 and the back has 400 making it more heavily loaded... as the owner of several rear-engined vehicles I find oversteering and/or rear weight bias quite manageable but it is something to be aware of because it is "different", but then they are quads so maybe the effect is magnified on a trike?

I agree, its something to be on the lookout for, especially with the eco tires this one will have, another thing that will help is the 200 or 250cc engine keeping overall accelleration down, discouraging hard driving.

The biggest issue to be dealt with Ive found, is the rollover stability issue, im addressing that with super low cg.

I've always have been intrigued by reverse & delta trikes. Lots of aero advantages and lightweight platforms. Unfortunately Carver, just declared bankruptcy, but the Morgans are back. You've built a few already and you know the need to locate the vehicle's CG to keep the wheels on the ground, especially during quick handling maneuvers. Is it a passive steering mechanism or do you have active lean/tilt steering? Interested in the geometry.

Good luck on your build. More in line for your research lightweight analogues. ZAP Alias & T-Rex are too much.

The Can Am Spyder started the 'mainstream' trike. Piaggio MP3 & Brudelli 625 added the active lean, waiting for THE big boy come up with theirs. HD markets the Sportster for women. The reason for this trike, probably so they don't drop/scratch the chrome work.
