I don't want anything clicking ads, thereby sending the signal to generate more ads. If zero people clicked ads, they wouldn't exist.

My cell phone utilizes WiFi when service is unavailable. Useful in the concrete radiation therapy vaults that never get cell signal.
I try to do as little "online" stuff as possible with my phone. Desktop is best, with laptop close behind. Can't be bothered to poke at a tiny virtual keyboard with fat fingers. |

Not much different between wifi and cell, signal wise, same bands, perhaps data rates, and power rates. Takes more power to travel distances in noisy environment.
