I'm glad you asked as well. My mom thought the same thing, you should have seen/heard her reaction when I told her I was a furry back when I was 13. I had to explain to her and show her, then she did some actual research in it and is now fully supportive and thinks it's 'cute'.

I don't have a suit yet, they cost 1,500-2,500$. I only have a tail and collar atm.

You need to get the suit, a furrie without a suit is hard to recognize.
