Live in California and you'll see much higher prices. San Diego it's around $4.19, however, the highest price I saw in San Diego County was about 50 miles east at Warner Springs-$4.99 for regular self serve.

Take a look at this website to see what my area is charging-

Hi,

On Saturday, I paid $4 ($42 total for 10.502 gallons), and the weekly AAA survey for Southern New England is now $4.03.9. I'm sure we're lower that much of the country (but we kinda' make up for it with our electricity rates...)

Spending over $90.00 to fill up my truck yesterday really hurt the wallet this week. I am glad I got it yesterday because it went from $3.85 to $3.99 in just one day.

Just looked at my fuel log. I paid $4.00 on May 22 for 87 Octane and just now on June 9th I paid $4.46 for 87 at the same station. This is a reasonably priced station in my area that is on the way to/from work.

Gasoline jumped yesterday in my city: $1.399 for a litre for regular unleaded now ($5.316 a gallon). Diesel is about the same price.

Still, people are driving their V6 and V8 vehicles everyday. No idea how, but they do. Something is telling me that gas needs to go MUCH higher to curb automobile usage.
