The same people that were running it when it was Accelerated Composites ... Aptera before it was Aptera ... were the same ones that choose to replace the old management with the new management... these are also the same guys that choose to even go in the direction of an Aptera like vehicle at all.
So are you also equally upset with them for even starting the Aptera concept?

While I agree in that they should have continued with the initial sales plan with the initial 1st factory they had set up , etc ... I see it as a gamble the new management took ... I think it was the wrong choice ... but it is not as though there was no reason for it ... they were gambling on up-scaling the production ... which would have reduced the cost per vehicle to make ... economies of scale and such ... the same concept that made the Model-T a success ... it was just too much of a bite to take all at once ... they tried , but failed to pull it off.

If you meant A123 , that is a bit different ... they at least went into production ... even if they are still not a profitable company ... and it is not entirely correct to say they will not sell to people ... I've bought A123 cells ... I know someone that built a PHEV battery pack out of their 20Ah pouch cells ... they do sell them ... but if you are a small sale , expect to be treated as such ... you will not get the kind of customer service most US consumers are used to when they walk into a Walmart ... the product and the company is not setup that way ... if you don't like it ... get your batteries else where.
A123 batteries are good at some things ... but they are not some kind of holy grail of batteries ... depending on the application there are better battery options from other companies.

I do not see the corporatism connection in this Aptera case... please elaborate.
Communism is a very different thing.
Neither one of those is a one rule for all solution.

Aptera was a small business... just not as innovative as some think they were... and they made some bad choices ... it happens.
Most start up companies fail ... that has been true for a very very long time ... it is not new.
People do have the power to decide ... but it is the collective of the people that ultimately make the larger choices ... not individual people... for the good or the bad... from the collective point of view Aptera is a no body , an unknown name for an unknown vehicle ... only in comparatively small % of the U.S. consumer market even knows it exists ... even smaller % would put money down to buy one... a very niche market product.
