I like that their business plan doesn't assume them quickly selling tens of thousands of units. This is a niche product, they have a niche plan.

This thread is more fun than the one that just got locked in Aerodynamics.
I called my son to tell him about the Aptera, and the skin radiator system. It uses a heat pump, apparently.
The last car I recall having skin radiators was the Stutz Blackhawk Special, but it turns out that that was an intercooler and the engine cooling was by ice.

I'm really going to have to call BS on its smaller, weighs 1,000 lb less and carries more more cargo than a traditional looking car.

There's a difference between luggage capacity and weight capacity.
Kind of like the difference between a Chevy Colorado and Tesla Model S.

The posted specifications show it's in the range of the other three for length, width and height. The weight is 50% more than an FUV. Luggage capacity is 25 somethings, also within the range of comparison.

How many of those 25 cubic feet are lashed on the roof?
I prefer mass over volume.

In a 40% offset frontal collision, I'd take the Aptera. Your mass would just shear off one of the front wheels. I've seen an FUV done that way. The story I got was that it was a rental vehicle driven into a parked car.
The interior volume is thanks to the hub motors.

Those other traditional cars are 4 seaters. The cargo space behind the front seats of the aptera is about the same as the cargo space behind the rear seats of a Prius. I don't find this BS at all, but maybe it's because I have an insight with a similar long hatch area and 2 seats.

A third gen Prius has 40cf when the rear seats are folded down, for an example.
