Averaged over 100 MPG today

Averaged over 100 MPG this afternoon while out running errands, multiple stops and locations.

Woo, very nice.
Have you been able to use the EV switch in the cold weather, or did you get this mileage with the warmup cycle?

Been playing with both.
There's plenty of 45 mph roads in my area, so the EV switch doesn't help much with those, as it kicks out at 34 mph.
I was doing multiple stops yesterday, and was able to go full EV for a trip between the grocery store and the take-out place.
In this weather, you do need the engine to go through a full warm-up at some point or another. Kristin had driven the car earlier in the day.
But no, this wasn't just driving around with the EV switch on the whole time. It's keeping up with normal traffic in 25 & 45 MPH zones and a short stretch of freeway.
I like the new full grill block too! Keeping the heat in the engine makes a big difference!

Not sure. I didn't track the recharge with a kill-a-watt, and the pack wasn't full either, as my wife drove the car that morning, and I don't know how much she used.
If you are trying to say something along the lines of "Hey, it's not a fair comparason to gas, because some electricity from the wall was used.." I agree with you. I think we've already had long discussions on Ecomodder about the whole "MPGe" thing.
When I get my plug-in hybrid pickup truck going, I'm planning on tracking the energy use on that with a dual system. I'll log BOTH electricity and liquid fuel seperately, and say "I used X gallons of fuel and Y kilowatts of electricity to go Z miles.
It's hard to give a really fair compare between gas and electric, but it's fair to say that combining the two can make for a very efficient vehicle.

Yes, I was meaning that with a hybrid vehicle or diesel running on oil, "mpg" can be used to reflect the very low cost of use but not hypermiling/ecommoding. Of course, I don't mean that the good mpg is only obtained by the additional energy but hypermiling/ecommoding gains are drowned in the overall gain.
Anyway, in the end it's how much you pay that counts. In this sense, 100 mpg is good.

Yep, only goes to 99.9
You'd think that at some point they would just make the decimal point go away, and then the display could do up to 999!

Even the newer ones are limited to 99.9. If my economy is infinite, I want to know it's infinite.
