Bad aerodynamics or wheeliebar-less

The trending video and discussion about vehicle aerodynamics. The front not low enough, did not have enough stabilizing front downforce. Going over 200 mph, they could have all the downforce on the rear tires for peak 3000 hp but without wheelie bars...

Wheelie bars wouldn't have saved him. Once you get that much lift under the car, it's going up in the air either way.

And not 200mph... Something triggers the 1/8 mile lights (either the bumper mid flight or debris, it's hard to tell) at 117KM/H and the other car was at 169KM/H. So he was somewhere in that range when he went airborne. The track is in Bahrain, so the speeds are not MPH.

The wheelie bars would have limited that point-of-no-return rise angle that caught the air that made him takeoff.

Stand corrected on that 1/8 trap speed, just saw the 3K hp number automatically estimated a quarter-mile run. Don Garlit's EV dragster still trying to get the 200 mph trap.
