bbennett2's Prius C

I finally got my prius c 2 on tuesday and I love it!! can't wait to fill up and see what my mpg for the first tank is, but according to the car i'm averaging 60mpg. If that's even relatively close to what I'm actually getting this car is incredible!

getting great mpg so far! on my way into work yesterday I got 74mpg! (although going home is slightly uphill so I got in the low 50's) I've been driving a ton the past few days since I bought it. I bought it tuesday and I already put 300 miles on it. I drove 70 miles each way over rolling hills on 95 to visit a friend, hit the standard baltimore traffic jams, commuted to work the past couple days and with all the diverse driving i'm still averaging above 60 mpg. That's according to the car's computer. the only change to my driving habits is to not mash on the gas when I start, or pass on the highway. I was cruising at 70-75 on I95 on the rolling hills into delaware and still got 50mpg for that trip.

I'm just amazed at how much better my mpg is so far compared to rating of 50 combined that it received. I figured I would have to do a lot of adjusting to my driving pattern to see the results other people were seeing. I'm pleasantly surprised with how easy it is to average high 50's - low 60's mpg!
