Now that you mention it, vskid3, I bet the mileage in a Prius wouldn't be stellar on that short commute. Without the EV mode mod, the engine will probably be running the whole way there and back, never getting warm enough to auto-stop.

That's a long time with a 10 minute commute.

Unless you just need to see big MPGs, it would be more economical to just stick with your car and try to make its numbers better. If you really want to spend some money, build an ebike or get a motorcycle. Then you'll have fun and lower energy usage.
Hmm interesting point bud. Im giving this old girl a chance. Im stacking up on a few parts now to install on the Festy. My wife hates the lack of safety with the car lol so she said to me last night, if u want economy and want me in your car, buy a prius lol. I said, ummmm no. Lol guess where i slept last night hahaha. Anyway ill take all that into consideration. Thanks again!

Well, couches aren't very comfortable long-term, so maybe you should buy something new!

Good stuff. At first, I thought you called your car "feisty", and that could be an appropriate nickname for a lot of our cars.

Might also make sure you run a good filter, no stp, fram, or autolite

No I didn't, I wasn't thinking of eco-driving at the time, rolled the first one though, at time of ownership of these cars, my truck got 8MPG all the time no matter what, little did I know when I bought my first festiva was how much fun the econobox really is to drive!!!
