Do a youtube search on oil filter breakdowns, very informative, I run a Ford Parts department, I used to run Autolite (Fram) on the non Ford vehicles, but after watching a video on them, I sent all my inventory back and reordered Wix built filters.

Hate to break it to you guys but the Festiva is probably the worst car I've ever driven, I'd take a Swift/ Metro 100x over a Festiva - and that includes the later model that you guys didn't get.

My Prius is used solely for shopping trips, often just over 2 miles a day and averages 50mpg.

Hmm good to know. All imputs are well received no matter on the personal opinion. Ive never driven a metro or a swift so i cant really say. I do know my wife is now bugging me about a prius after she saw one today at the market lol.

I just remembered two mods I did a long time ago for faster warmup:

1. Keep the oil at the low level.

2. Concentrate the coolant to about 80% glycol.

Both of these decrease the thermal capacity of the engine+fluids.

(However the effect is likely to be small.)

It was. It was called the Mazda 121 pretty much every where in the world except south korea where it was sold as a Kia Pride and here in the states as the Ford Festiva iirc. Also i think it was changed from 121 to Festiva in Australia after a few years of production. And yeah man i might keep it. Lets see. Haha
