Better Geo side mirrors
I would like to be able to just remove my passenger side mirror, but I always get pulled over for things like broken tail lights and improperly located front license plates here in Stockton, CA. So, I figured it wouldn't be long before I got a ticket for no mirror. I have an extra large center mirror and an auxiliary interior side mirror, but I can't stand being pulled over for such silly things. That stated, I decided to just modify my side mirrors to make them a bit smaller and more aerodynamic. Basically, I just removed the old one, cut it so as to remove the middle section then glued it back together. The lines didn't look very good, and there were too many gaps so I fiber-glassed over the whole thing. I still have to smooth it out and fix a little gap problem, but I took some pics to see what everyone thinks. I figured that I could just cut out a notch at the bottom so the mirror will fit better. Also, I will not be using any part of the original mirror glass. I will be using a bicycle mirror that I have like ten of to fit inside the new shell. The way I plan to mount it will make it so I can still adjust the position. I am also working on another type of aero-mirror that I carved out of foam and am shaping to be smaller (I may not use it, but I started making it before this project).
