Better than a Kill Switch

Hi,

A few months ago Iowered the idle as much as it would go by plugging the aux air port in the throttle body. It idled at 600 rpm. Yesterday I found a hose disconnected, and now it doesn't idle at all. It's great! No more turning the ignition switch off and back on to coast, the odometer and ultra guage don't work with the ignition off. Now I need rewire the injector kill swich, the engine does't restart anyway without cycling the ignition switch, to a solenoid valve to let a little air in. It's hard to drive in traffic and parking with no idle. Im at 54.2 mpg for the first 350 miles on this tank and improving, Saturn SC1.

So, let me get this straight. When you put it in neutral, it dies?

Not only that, just press the clutch in.

If it works for you, great, but I could see that being a big pain in the butt! Assuming it has to spin down before dying, making shifting gears possible?

I'd be interested in an update. Have you continued to allow this to happen?
