Big improvement on very 1st tank!

I went from a max of about 30MPG (before coming here) to 36.46MPG using some EOC, drafting and just driving slower overall and that was without a scangauge. My SGII just got delivered today so my goal of 40MPG should be pretty easy. I just did some maintenance stuff as well including replacing a clogged PCV valve which is known to be a mileage killer as well as replacing plug wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter and upping my tires to 50PSI from the 42 I had them at before. I also picked up some garden edging black plastic stuff I want to try to fashion into some sort of grill block and air dam. Thanks EcoModder!

First tank at 30% over EPA is great result

I began lower and improved without SG2 (not compatible ), so you can expect bigger and faster improvements than mine

Congrats,

Denis.

Did an early fillup since I found a great price for gas and came out with 39.1MPG. I was hoping for 40, but Im pretty sure that I would have reached it if I went a little longer. High hopes for 40+ on my next tank now that my SGII is calibrated. I also found myself driving more than normal to get used to the SGII and some of the techniques so all things combined, 40 should be a walk in the park! I should also add that I replaced a bad PCV valve, new plug wires, new cap and rotor and 50PSI in the tires. Also a quick and dirty WAI by removing the air intake tube that comes out of the bottom of the airbox.

Very nice gains. Pretty soon 40 will be 'bad' mileage for you!
