Bike ride story. Assualt?

The same thing has happened to me belive it or not, I saw him out of the corner of my eye. It was definatly on purpose, the kid did a running throw at me. So I caught it, and continued biking until I scored my first 30 yard cyclist touch down.

Maybe I'm just mean spirited, but I carry at very least one box cutter/utility knife/pocket knife at any given time (Need them to fend off vicious boxes and other packaging at work), I probably would have flattened it where it sat and rode away.

If attempted: say to the nice man:

If actually assaulted -- (someone throughs a rock, or a stick, or a ball, or a dog at you) please call 911 and follow through. Start the air horn now. There are most likely kids in the area that are not brave enough (they need to live in the area) to have the cops take care of the bully, and you are the first. That so called father needs to have the cops give him a lesson in civility.

Hopefully the cops show up. I might ask the cops to review my commuter route for safety from being assaulted. Might be a good idea.

Wait for the cops to get there? In Kansas city, mo thats a joke. It can take from 5min to never actually showing up here. If you call and say someone through a football at or someone in a van is yelling at you it could be 2 hours easy. Here we have blackouts. Blackout means there are so many calls they cannot answer them all. So if you want immediate attention you almost need to be attacked. I carry a pistol when going certain places. Its considered a last defense when escape is no longer an option. You can legally, without a permit, carry a loaded pistol in your car in missouri. You can also carry one in a backpack on a bike(its a vehicle). I've been known to pop a ball or too.

I think I would have just rode up to the ball in the parking lot, pulled out my switchblade and flattened it. I would have left it there dead, and rolled away.

I was knocked from my bike by a fella sitting in the open passenger window if a pickup,and hanging onto the mirror for support.I actually recovered enough to see and record the license plate info.When I called the Dallas Police Department to report the incident,the police literally laughed at me.
