Yeah. I think that's true. Can't check right now. But the dash lights use fewer bulbs than it seems because they have some clever filaments to distribute light. 194s there, and maybe 168 on the license plate.

I want to replace every single bulb under my dash with different colors. I want to make the CEL purple, turn signals white, gas light orange, battery light green, oil light red, and then dark blue for the back lights. I'll pull my cluster out when I get my car back (my VX tranny is going in it yay!) and I'll check and take pictures then.

I agree with what California98Civic said , as it was with my old explorer only one light bulb for the gas gauge and temp gauge only one light for the tach and the speedo.

Gereric LED's are the way to go I believe.
Maybe go to a junkyard and get a nice cluster with a tach if you don't already have one and solder the LED's to the points. Would be very clean and look good.

Well the VX tranny is in an I must admit I'm extremely disappointed. I expected 2,250rpm at 65 and I'm close to 2400 which is only a 10% if that drop in RPM... Take a look.

Seems about right. The fifth gears are the same in the 6th gen HX and the VX. The HX final drive is 3.722 and the VX 3.250. That's about a 12% difference.

On the og VX thread I saw his VX running 1750rpm at 60 though?

Can't always trust the speedos or the photos of them. Here's the OG VX and your car, side by side. His car looks like it is at maybe 59 mph, but because of the slightly off-center angle is it probably reading 57 or 58; the tach seems at about 1800-1900 rpm. That's about the same as mine, which reads about 2000-2050 at 60mph. Take a pic of yours at 60 mph.

EDIT: I SEE YOU JUST CROSSED 200k MILES. cONGRATS!

I will on my way home, I'm at work doing a 12 hour shift from 8pm to 8am Uhg.

[Edit]: Thanks! I was actually excited watching it cross over to 200k haha. The car is so hard to drive city in now lol, it's a huge adjustment with the rpms so low when I shift at 2k. My city mileage did go up, not even trying I was at 46 when I got on the freeway when I'm normally at 38-42. So on the low end that's a 10% increase. Coming to Barstow from my house, with a couple angry downshift passes getting up to 80+mph I still got 52.9mpg .

P.S the LEDS are on their way!

Ok here is what ultragauge says when I'm cruising at exactly 65mph.

Here is a pic at 60mph

Given normal calibration imprecision in both the ultragauge and the OEM Civic odometer/speedometer, this looks fine. Besides, to be this low, you must have the CX/VX tranny. There is not other trans that will get RPMs this low at this speed and bolt up so easily as to be mistaken for the VX/CX somehow. You're there... enjoy!
