Cost per mile (fuel only) was $0.103 with a total cost of just over $224 fer the trip with a distance of 2176 miles and 85.2 gallons of fuel used. Overall mileage was 25.54mpg.

If only you could capture the flying road salt on your trip, you probably wouldn't have to pay for ballast! I swear highway departments salt the roads like they're french fries.

Just pulled the air gauge off as it was leaking pretty badly. None of the connections were leaking (passed the soapy water test). I'm back to just the adapter and the Schrader valve.

We rarely see that white stuff that falls from them there clouds and all.

If your not pressure washing large chunks of salt out of your wheelwells, you haven't been to Bonneville.

I got the gauge from Harbor Freight. Seems the gauges there always leak regardless of any exchanges.
I'm gonna stick to simple and just start measuring how high off the ground the back end of the trailer is to see if the air pressure is dropping or not.

Gonna pick up some Rectorseal #5 pipe thread sealant tomorrow fer about $4 and see how well that works instead of the Teflon tape.
