I recall some discussion of moving the swivel point (forward or back). Would shortening the wheelbase offer more or less leverage for what weight exists?
I thought rubber in torsion was supposed to include shock absorption. My Westfalia trailer has only Cellasto™ elastomeric snubbers. Axles + Chassis | Westy Trailers

I think the snubber provides extra support in reducing the amount of strain the vertical pivot is gitting when turning or traveling down the road.
I'm still considering moving my swivel point back but I see that project a long distance out. I'm not looking to shorten the wheel base but to lengthening it to reduce the amount of vertical travel. Since it will increase the amount of leverage, I will have to change how the air shocks are mounted so they will be able to handle the increased leverage and respond quicker to the road bumps.

Driving today produced a lot of gawkers and photo snappers of the rig since Texas A&M is having a 3-day open house/game day weekend for the newly revamped Kyle field starting today. It's like they've never seen a truck before or something.

Yes, I can see better out of the rear canopy now.
I just hope the new tapering will contribute to some better numbers.

If it was all airtight it would be best, but even our best commercial airliners and civil aviation planes do okay with gappy slats, slots, aileron, elevator, rudder, and landing gear imperfections.
