All painted and stickered up!
I added some Foamular on the nose and radiased the edges. Covered it in Tyvek tape and put some conspicuity tape on there, too!

Is the flipper that little skeg that was a red and blue sign? Are you expecting better mileage or was it just to get the wood out?
Have you got any miles on it yet?

Yes, it was the red/blue sign before it got painted. I'm not exactly sure if it does anything aerodynamicly but it's worth a shot. It's more of a splash guard fer the wheel pant lettering since the tire will have a tendency to kick stuff up off the road and abrade the wheel pant tail. You can see what it did to the forner wheel pant splash guard lettering that's mounted above the tire. 
I have about 6 miles on the new configuration. Nothing scraped or crumpled when I backed out of the driveway at the new house.

Made good time up North to Nebraska. Got to see aerohead in Denton and had a good chat. Everything held together without any issues.
Best indicated mileage was 28.1mpg from York to Lincoln Nebraska. I haven't hand calculated my fill ups yet but the numbers were indicating around 26mpg at 65mph on my Ultragauge before the refuelings.
One of the neat features of the new wheel pant is that I can change the plan taper by resizing and moving the internal bulkheads to get my desired shape.
