Boring censorship

I commented here that forums deleting secondary spaces after punctuation is the most boring form of censorship. I have never understood why people allow this to bother them. People have acted like this is worse than "Office pops."

It is weird what gets blocked at school while I am working on activities for my first graders. I hear that searching for recipes that use fowl pectoral muscles is blocked. I have commented before that articles about boomsticks are blocked. Well, I have a student that can say "L," but says "Weaf," "Ewefant," etc. I found a dozen words that start with "El" and with help he can say those correctly. Then I found dozens of words containing "el" like "Belt.

I found pictures for the El- words (except "Else." Am I supposed to show a bully saying "Or else?!"). I am looking for pictures for -el- words.

This picture was blocked:

Why did it block a picture of a belt?! Who is that going to offend?!

Maybe it's gender specific and therefore sexist.

My work lets most things through, which is good since I work from home.

I don't know why many places block gun content. It's considered worse than vulgar language these days. Maybe the "F" word will be replaced by "AR" (BTW, AR stands for ArmaLite Rifle) or "Assault Rifle" someday.

Filters are wicked difficult to configure in a way that blocks what is intended to be blocked, while allowing everything else. I suspect that someday AI will be used to make filters more intelligent.

You could try using a proxy, but it would have to not be blocked by the filters. I think Tor Browser uses proxies, but I've never used it.
